Off piste and day tours – places available!

4 days hunting the best snow conditions in the western Alps. We will start with a warm up day in Chamonix and then either stay in France or take the magic tunnel to Italy.

The snow cover this year is truly special, with good cover everywhere. I have had some amazing skiing so far, particularly in the Courmayeur and Gressoney areas in Val d’Aosta.

The plan for this 4 day experience is to meet in Chamonix on the evening of the 18^th Feb, ski in the valley on the 19^th, and then take a decision at the last minute as to where to go, based on weather and conditions. We will spend the nights of the 20^th and 21^st in a hut or a mountain hotel, doing day tours with about 1000m of skinning and descents on terrain around 30º. We will return to the Chamonix valley on the evening of 22^nd February.

We have spaces for up to 6 skiers on the trip.

Costs will clearly depend on the size of the group and where exactly we end up. As a guideline, Here are the guiding costs per head. These include hire of avalanche safety kit, glacier safety kit and all the guides expenses in the Chamonix valley.

To this you’ll need to add 4 days of uplift for yourself, accommodation for 5 nights, a share of the guide’s accommodation for 2 or 3 nights depending on where we end up, and travel to wherever the best snow is! We’ll keep the cost as low as we can while delivering the best snow we can.
