As I write this, we’re coming to the end of summer here in Chamonix. Temperatures are dropping, and our thoughts turn to the snowy season.

It’s all good stuff, and here are four stand out choices:
January: a series of 2 day courses for the Eagle Ski Club. Snow Safety and/or Navigation and/or Glacier Travel combined with off piste ski technique coaching.
February: A hut to hut tour in the Val Clarée, a quiet back water valley in the Hautes-Alpes.
This is an ideal week for people getting into their first hut to hut experience, or the more mature ski tourer!

Mid April: A ski traverse of the Stubai from south to north. We start in the Stubaigletscher ski area and take in cols and peaks as appropriate, finishing in Kuhtai.
