The winter season is approaching.
As I write this in early October, the snow is down to 2200m in the Chamonix valley and there are powder turns being had off the Midi for those who don’t like rock climbing as much as skiing.
My program for the 2026 season will be a little different this year. I’ll be placing more emphasis on Chamonix based off piste and touring, with more availability for ad-hoc bookings in the early season. Please get in touch if you want to reserve a slot. Check out the calendar to see how your dates match with my availability.
I’m also running some collective courses for the Eagle Ski Club and the Ski Club of Great Britain, and can especially recommend:
January: A hut to hut tour in the Val Clarée. This beautiful valley in the Haute Alpes is ideal for intro ski touring and/or those wanting shorter days and comfortable huts
February: I’m doing an Off Piste Adventure week for the Ski Club of Great Britain in Chamonix. After a few years of doing ski safaris for the Club, I’m looking forward to playing at home!
I’ll be away in March in the Antacrctic, and then back briefly in April for ski touring and even some alpinism, now that climate change makes this more and more of an option.
In May I’m hoping to be in Svalbard (watch this space) and then it’ll be summer.
I wish all of you a great winter and look forward to skiing with old friends and new this season.
