Winter is coming

My 2017 full ski program is now live on the website. There’s a range of trips to suit all tastes from off piste through to hut to hut tours. I’d especially like to highlight two particular weeks that will interest those of you keen on Arctic skiing

Ski Sailing in Norway at Easter

Steve Jones and I will lead a weeklong ski sail trip from 14 – 21 April in Finnmark aboard the comfortable two-masted Goxsheim. Life on board is easy going, with no early starts needed in this land of the midnight sun. Cosy two-person cabins and plenty of fresh local food make the boat a great base from which to ski as well as see the unique scenery and wildlife. The ascents from sea level are between 900 and 1200m, so avoiding any altitude problems. It is less well known than other ski-sail areas further south and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Check out the tour in the program , have a look at a few photos and drop me a line for further details.

Ski sailing in Iceland

From 30 April to 5 May, I have places on the second of two weeks ski sailing in the Troll peninsula of Iceland. We will be based on board the British yacht Destiny who I’ve worked with for the past two years in Norway. The crew Andy and Janice are working their way round the world and so this trip is a one-time-only opportunity to savour the adventure of Icelandic skiing from the comfort of a wonderful boat. Check out the tour in my program and please contact me for more details.

As well as these exotic trips I have a wide range of alpine weeks for both the Ski Club of Great Britain and the Eagle Ski Club.

Have a great winter season, and I hope to see you on the hill.
