It’s the last day of November 2021 as I write this, and the snow is falling to valley level in Chamonix. With all the challenges of 2021, everyone is super keen for skiing this season.
I’ve a full programme running in 2022 with a variety of off piste and ski touring adventures to be had. And there are a few gaps still left if you fancy something bespoke.
The calendar is as up to date as it can be in this fluid situation. Here are some highlights for each month that you might want to check out:
Plenty of space over Christmas. With the early season snow levels looking good, off piste will be in good nick. And make sure you get your avalanche education topped up too! I love doing snow stability and risk management training with young guns and old hands alike.
If you want to get into ski touring, check out this Touring Skills Weekend that I’m running for the Ski Club of Great Britain
If you fancy some glacial skiing (think Vallée Blanche or Haute Route), I’m running a Glacier Safety course at the beginning of the month.
There’s also a few gaps in the diary towards the end too…
The highlight of March has got to be my trip to Senja in Arctic Norway.
It’s such a wild spot.
More ski touring at both ends of the Alps, with the Silvretta early on and the Vanoise to finish off
Off to Svalbard for the first time. All very exciting!
And all of a sudden it’ll be summer. Phew!
